The hierarchy on the York Rite side appears Heroines of Jericho, Ladies of the Circle of Perfection, and Heroines Guild Crusaders Templar on the diagram. On the diagram of the York Rite positions on the hierarchy chart shows that Heroines of Jericho are the last house but is seen at the top of the Higher Degrees. Heroines of Jericho were organized in San Diego, CA... Salome Court No. 389 was the first court organized and re-numbered to No. 1 when they were organized on April 30th, 1924. Mt. Ararat Court No. 390 was re-numbered to No.2 and organized in Los Angeles on May 23rd. Capistrano Court No. 391 was re-numbered to No.3 and organized on May 31st, in Pasadena. Golden Gate Court No. 392 was re-numbered to No. 4. and organized in Oakland, on July 4th. Rahab Court No. 403 was re-numbered to No. 5 and organized in Berkeley on July 18th, 1924. Five (5) Courts received their U.D. status from the State of Texas during the months of April and May, 1924.

On January 20, 21st 1925 in Los Angeles, a Grand High Court was formed. On June 29th, 1925 Texas delegation of Heroines of Jericho, Most Ancient Grand Matron Sister J. C Hester and 20 of her officers returned to California bringing greeting from Texas Jurisdiction. They found the Grand High Court of California to be proper and regular. A resolution was read proposing recognition and endorsement of California’s Prince Hall Grand High Court of Heroines of Jericho, State of California to be a regularly and legally organized Sovereign Jurisdiction. At that time it was properly moved and seconded that the report be received and adopted for the minutes and filed in the Archives in the Grand High Court. Sister Josie F. Banks, was elected California’s first Most Ancient Grand Matron, Brother Oscar Hudson, Worthy Grand Joshua; Annie Walker Senior Ancient Grand Matron; Bebee Banks Junior Ancient Matron; Maude Lawrence Grand Secretary; Justina Ross Grand Recording Secretary; Nola Jackson Grand Treasurer; Lula E. Penn Acting Grand Senior Attendant; Victoria Lewis Acting Junior Grand Attendant; Minnie Parker Grand Outer Gate Keeper; James H. Wilson Deputy Grand Joshua. By the year 1995 California had organized and constituted 31 Courts with Stella Rebekah No. 47 being the last court to be constituted.

California held its 85th Annual Grand Communication Prince Hall Grand High Court September 16th-19th, 2010 in Fresno at the Radisson Hotel. Presiding was the 41st Grand Most Ancient Matron Thelma B. Hayes, and C. John Jeffries Right Excellent Grand Worthy Joshua, with 14 subordinate Courts on roll and two Youth Palaces. During the 85th Annual Grand Communications elections were held and Sister L. Deloris Sanders is the Jurisdiction Most Ancient Grand Matron, Sister Barbara Stewart Deputy Ancient Matron, Sister Schniece Thompson Senior Ancient Matron, and Sister Rosalyn Botang Junior Ancient Matron
